About This Site

Finding a recent Butte County arrest means knowing which agency created the record and which official system may publish it. This private reference site brings together the sheriff's weekly booking logs, city police tools, custody notifications, court follow-up, and records-request paths. We explain what each source can and cannot show. We do not host booking-photo galleries or copies of official records.

Why This Guide Exists

Butte County arrest information is split among several systems. The Sheriff's Office creates county jail booking records and publishes weekly logs, but its public portal did not offer an enabled current inmate or arrest-photo roster during the latest research review. Chico, Oroville, and Paradise maintain different police tools. The Superior Court records later case events, while CDCR handles information about people serving state-prison sentences.

We organize those official sources and explain the right order for using them. When a public web page does not answer the question, the guide identifies the records office that holds the document. No faces or arrest profiles are reproduced here.

What the Pages Cover

The site focuses on practical distinctions that matter when a record is new, delayed, or held by a different agency.

  • The county hub explains recent arrests, weekly logs, booking records, photo access, warrants, and later court checks.
  • Separate guides distinguish the missing same-day county view, the seven-day police blotter, and VINELink custody alerts.
  • City pages describe the distinct Chico, Oroville, and Paradise police systems and records offices.
  • Request guidance identifies the likely record holder and explains that access, redactions, fees, and timing can vary.

Limits of a Private Guide

This is an independently operated reference site. It has no connection with the Butte County Sheriff's Office, Butte County Jail, CDCR, a city police department, a court, or any California government agency.

  • We cannot release, detain, or transfer a person.
  • We cannot post bail, arrange a visit, or send funds.
  • We cannot provide legal advice or act for a requester.
  • We cannot promise that an outside office's hours, fees, or contact details have not changed.

Only the responsible sheriff, jail, police agency, or court can give an official answer about custody, charges, release, or a case outcome.
